Bible Covers to Protect Your Bible

Almost every single dedicated Christian upholds their Bible as one of the most important things that they have in their life. Hence, it is not really a big surprise that they would do what they can to take care of it by using Bible covers.

[What is Bible Covers]

Most Christians need to use their Bibles every day, highlighting important verses, writing on the pages, and carrying it around with them wherever they might need to go. This means having their Bible used almost every single time, thus, causing wear and tear to this precious book.

If you find yourself in this category, then it is only proper to actually prevent your Bible from getting extra damage through wear and tear. You can invest in sturdy and reliable Bible covers to provide protection to your Bible instead of getting a new one when the old one gets worn out.

[Importance of Bible Covers]

Back in the day, people hesitated placing Bible covers on their Bible’s, but now, all that has changed. This was no surprise back then, since the variety of covers available to customers was quite limited. Today, you can go ahead and have a great host of covers, anything that will suit your style as well as personality.

It is true that any Bible cover will help protect your Bible, and that is the most important thing.

[Bible Covers for Different Ages]

However, there is no denying the fact that some people just want to showcase their personality and style through the Bible covers that they use. Classic black leather bible covers might still be popular, but there are so many more options to choose from today.

Today, you can buy a variety of designs for Bible covers. You can choose one that will suit your age, your profession, or even your lifestyle as a believer.  Most of these covers are made from canvas as well as polyester.

Most of the time, covers have embellishments too like a zipper, a pen holder, or even a carrying handle to make it portable. Below are some of the common kinds of Bible covers that you can go for.

Men and Women

More often than not, people usually prefer a Bible cover that is usable and suited for their lifestyle. For instance, men go for covers that are functional, like it may have plenty of pockets and can double as an organizer as well. Moreover, men like plain, dark colored covers with simple designs most of the time.

Alternatively, women usually prefer covers that have more pizzazz and style. They also make vibrant color choices.

Teenagers

Of course, for teenagers, picking a Bible cover means getting a chance to extend and show their personality. For teenage girls, one sought after color would be hot pink; other teens like to have that distressed and frayed look on their Bible covers.

For teenage boys, they might prefer something more edgy. They usually go for covers that have bold statements printed on them, something like, “Hardcore Christian,” or “New Rebellion.” Some Bible covers are even made with a strap, so it can function as a body bag which is perfect for young adults and teens.

It doesn’t have to be a tough task when looking for the right Bible covers. Protecting the most precious book in your life means not thinking twice about getting the Bible covers it needs.

Isaiah 32:17 The fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever. Sowing and reaping – it’s a biblical principle that we see at work throughout the Word and throughout creation. We sow a seed and reap a harvest, bear fruit. This verse means, then, that if we sow righteousness, we will reap peace. Who among us wouldn’t like more peace – in our lives, in our world? Righteousness can be simply defined as “right-living,” referring to relationship between human and God as well as between human and human. Hundreds of scriptures describe this right living or righteousness to us, and what we see in this passage is that if we employ “right-living,” the fruit that will be produced is peace. The verse goes on to say that the effect of righteousness is quietness and confidence forever. So when we engage in right living, not only will we reap a harvest of peace, but the impact, in turn, on our lives will be quietness and confidence –forever. What a comfort! Aren’t we hungry for it? I don’t believe the Lord is referring here to a lack of noise or busy-ness in daily life. I believe He is inviting us to a deep, inner peace and quietness of spirit, an anchor that goes deep and remains firm despite the thrashing and storms of life around us. Please notice it’s not temporary…right living breeds benefits that last forever! What must we do? Be intentional about living rightly in relationship to God and in relationship to one another.
